I negotiated for my car last January. It would have cost me over $25k after taxes and fees, but I paid $22,500. Here was my experience http://weakonomics.com/2008/03/10/the-weakonomist-buys-a-car/

I used resources like Negotiation Training Info in order to prepare. It was worth the effort. I used the savings for my fiance’s engagement ring (which I also negotiated for)!
